I just dont understand why people that look down on tattoo’s have to come into the “Tattoo” catagory and judge. Can some one answer this for me? Just because we have tattoo’s does NOT mean we have been in jail, dirty, tramp, loser, etc etc. How many times do we have to answer the same questions “why do you have tattoos” “how many and why”. I have tattoos because they are an outward show of my inner personality, they do not define who I am they only clarify what is already there.. Body ink is sexy, it makes a person stand out in a crowd (unless your at a tattoo convention, LOL). So once again: why are non-inked people so judgemental? You dont like my ink, dont look at it, and by all means DONT comment on it.

i live in the southern bay area, and im willing to travel a bit to get my first tattoo. ive wanted to get a japanese dragon on my back since i was 14, and now that im turning 18 soon i can finally get it. ive gone to a tattoo convention and got a lot of shops “cards”, but i still dont know where to go exactly.
im thinking about going to moms body art studio in san francisco, but i hear they are a bit pricy. so any place that is GOOD please reccomend. i am very willing to pay much more for a good tattoo than a cheap bad one. i have done research but i dont know from what a good artist would do and a mediocre one would do.
*please keep the tattoo shop within a couple hour drive please*
Does anyone know why there arent any Tattoo conventions in Scotland, surely we have a rich tattoo history so why is it that England has conventions and we dont (Liverpool, London etc), we have the resources, we can host them in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, we have loads of concert halls and arenas to have them so why dont we? Any thoughts?
