In search of inspirational ink, we hauled our asses down to the Tobacco Dock in Wapping, East London to see some of the world’s best tattoo artists in action at the 4th annual London Tattoo Convention.

We were blown away by the artistry, the madness and the fantastic pain-endurance of the punters! The Convention was a full-on event so there’s plenty of twisted rock ‘n’ roll and Burlesque cabaret-style action going on in Vince Ray’s Voodoo Crypt at the same time, making this a great weekend for Alternative culture.

Welcome to the new and improved Tattooing Convention website!

This website’s new purpose is to simply educate the public about the phenomena of tattooing conventions and what they are and what they are not, by way of embedded videos, articles and photographs.

So what is a tattoo convention besides the obvious meaning?

Imagine a party full of tattoo artists and like minded people complete with everything you could imagine from a spectacular venue, amazing artists, sexy attractive models and sick music. Sounds good so far doesn’t it? Now imagine all that and educational seminars, educational workshops, art galleries and a awards show for the best tattoos.

Many tattoo conventions have been running for many years now and are very established yearly traditions for tens of thousands of people. At the older and better conventions you will find the worlds most talented custom tattoo artists ply their trade.
